While that was definitely a highlight, today was full of the makings of my dream job. Sitting in a HUGE closet full of clothes, accessories, shoes, bags you name it's there is the stuff any girls dreams are made of. And today, I got to organize that closet. Approximately 12 fully extended clothing racks jammed packed with millions of designers had to be alphabetized, then categorized within each designer. woohoo. Good thing I was not alone, and had LeeAnn, Amity, and Hallie to split the job. We also did some sample send-backs and other fabulous things before getting off early at 4:30 (we usually should go 10-6). It sounds mundane and boring to most, but being around all that fashion, seeing how a single shirt or accessory can turn into an outfit is something I love.
My editor, Cris, is super laid back and seems like she will be giving us a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to really learn from our experience. Ah I just can't believe I actually worked at Hearst today. It's is truly surreal experiencing a dream becoming reality.

P.S. We have this fab little grocery store of 1st between 17th and 18th street called Gracefully that will make shopping in Columbia horrific. It has every organic, yummy, totally overpriced food you could want. Ah to live in NYC.
